(G-SHOCK / Baby-G)
G-SHOCK and Baby-G have been supporting the efforts of the International Dolphin and Whale Conference and promoting its theme of "ALL AS ONE" since the 4th conference in 1994. The latest additions to this series are the offical models of the International Dolphin and Whale Research Network, a project promoted by I.C.E.R.C Japan to support dolphin adn whale research around the globe. The G-SHOCK models include the G-100K, which is the first of this series to employ a combination model analog timekeeping. The I.C.E.R.C. logo is printed at the 12 o'clock position of the watch face and coloring that complements an overall unique design. The G-SHOCK DW-970K features a Tough Solar power supply that greatly reduces the need for battery replacement, contributing to protection of the global environment. It also comes with tide functions that can be used to trace the rise and fall of tides, which are closely related to dolphin and whale ecology, and is programmed with the current time at 10 dolphin and whale watching sites around the globe. The new Baby-G models include the BG-40K, which is the first analog watch for this series. It has the I.C.E.R.C logo printed on a sunburst face, and the second hand is in the shape of a dolphin, for a cute design that is femininely unique. The Baby-G BG-600K includes moon data functions that provide information that greatly affects the natural rhythms of life forms everywhere. The bands of both the G-SHOCK and Baby-G models are marked with the text "ALL AS ONE," the back covers are engraved with the logo of I.C.E.R.C Japan. Turning on the EL backlight of the digital models displays images of dolphins or whales. As with past I.C.E.R.C models, these new models come in packages made 100% of recycled milk cartons. They also come with a booklet that describes the whale and dolphin research activities of groups and individuals around the world.
