The 7th International Dolphin and Whale
Conference Commemorative Models

These are the official watches commemorating the 7th Dolphin and Whale Conference, the theme of which is "Four ways of living in the Gaian Community." The DW-8600KJ G-SHOCK lineup features sunrise and sunset time display, moon age and tide graph display, and a temperature sensor, all of which are keeping with the theme of the Conference. The DW-9200K G-SHOCK lineup comes with a 30-item TELEMEMO function. Both models come with an Auto Light Switch that turns on the EL backlight to illuminate the display when the watch angled towards the wearer's face, and the image of a whale floats on the display whenever the EL backlight is turned on. The Baby-G lineup includes water resistance up to 200 meters, animated dolphin figures that jump, stand up, and twirl on the display, and color EL backlights. The figure of a dolphin seems to float on the display whenever the backlight is turned on. In addition, the back cases of all models are engraved with the official mark of the international Dolphin and Whale Conference, and packages are made of 100% recycled milk carton paper.

International Dolphin and Whale Conference

This conference is devoted to creating a better global environment for future generations under the theme of "all as one," by creating safe passage for dolphins and whales world wide. Held under the auspices of the international Cetacean Education Research Center (ICERC), the conference was first convented in Australia in 1988, and is next schedule to be held in France.
