| These are the official watches commemorating
the 8th International Dolphin and Whale Conference, which attempts
to keep everyone aware of global environment problems through
the study and observation of dolphins and whales. This year's
G-SHOCK models are the fifth generation of this series, and
feature a totally new case design and improved functions. The
"Tough Solar" power supply system of the DW-9700K
helps to alleviate pollution caused by discarded batteries.
Everything from the smooth, flowing lines of the distinctive
thincase to the shape of the bezel and buttons is designed in
the image of the creatures of the sea. All G-SHOCK models and
three of the Baby-G models include a Tide Graph feature, to
promote awareness of the tides that affect dolphins, whales,
and all other ocean life. These watches are also preset with
the locations of 10 famous dolphin and whale watching sites
around the world. An easy operation recalls the current tide
level at any one of these sites. As for design, turning on the
EL backlight of a G-SHOCK or Baby-G model causes the image of
a whale or dolphin to float on the display. The band ring also
features a cutout or relief image in the shape of a dolphin
or whale. The back cover of each watch bears the offical logo
of the International Dolphin and Whale Conference, and bands
are imprinted with the conference theme, "all as one."
As with previous versions, packages are made of environmentally
friendly paper that is 100% recycled milk cartons. |

| This conference is devoted to creating
a better global environment for future generations under
the theme of "all as one," by creating safe
passage for dolphins and whales world wide. Held under
the auspices of the international Cetacean Education Research
Center (ICERC), the conference was first convented in
Australia in 1988, and is next schedule to be held in
France. |
